It takes 1.5 kW/h to obtain 2 kg of pellets from forest waste. This same 2 kg, however, produce 10 kW/h, so the process is extremely energy efficient.
The raw material for a pellet plant comes from leftovers from primary and secondary wood processing (sawmills, furniture manufacturing, etc).
The manufacturing process of Biomasa Forestal is based on collecting branches and tops left over after felling trees. The woody biomass is set aside for pellet production and the rest (leaves, bark, etc.) is used as fuel in the drying process.
